So Busy...

Life seems to be so crazy right now... These night shifts are killing me but I only have 11 more shifts of work and then I am done!! Which means baby #2 will be here before we know it. I am starting to freak out a little, but ready or not this baby is coming. I can't believe I am going to be a mother of 2 but I am very excited.

Dexter's 2nd birthday is next week and I can't believe it. These last 2 years have flown by and Dex is definitely not a baby anymore. I am frantically trying to get ready for his big bash next week but it's so much more work when you are hugely pregnant lol!! And chasing around my crazy toddler 24/7 doesn't help. Anyways we are doing a spongebob theme this year so I promise to post pictures. Sometimes I wonder where did the time go... I can't wrap my mind around the fact that I have a 2 year old. it actually makes me a little teary. Dexter is so full of energy and is always on the go. Sometimes I get exhausted just looking at him but I love him so much!! He is the most loving and funny little boy I know. I feel so blessed to be his mom and we just love him so much!!

I am also so grateful for my husband. I am seriously the luckiest girl. Nick is such an amazing dad and husband. I am definitely spoiled and I love him to bits. I love watching him and Dex together it just melts my heart. I love my little family so much and can't wait for this little one to get here. The anticipation is killing me to know if this little one is a girl or boy...

Christmas Holidays

Sorry this is a really long one!!

Well this year it was our turn to spend Christmas in Wetaskiwin and we had a great time! We headed out to Wetaskiwin on the 23rd this year. It was the 4 year anniversary of the death of Nick's dad this Christmas season and we all miss him. It was really nice to spend the evening with Nick's family and just be together on this hard day. It is so nice to have such a great family!!

We ate way to much food on Christmas Eve with Grandma Bennett, Katie, and Taylor. It was very quiet but we still had a great time. Entertaining our little man was a little challenging since he was the only kid around that night but he really bonded with his uncle Taylor. It was pretty dang cute!! He followed him everywhere lol!! I made us matching Christmas PJ's this year and they turned out so cute!! I was quite impressed with myself!!

Dex woke us all up at 7:30 Christmas morning to open gifts. I don't think Taylor and Katie were impressed lol!! Nathan got home late Christmas Eve night so it was nice to see him it had been over a year since we had seen him last. Anyways we opened gifts and Dex got extremely spoiled like usual. I don't know what he is going to do when baby #2 gets here. It should be fun... This year was the first time that Dex actually really enjoyed opening his presents. He was actually a little disappointed when he had opened them all . And he had a good dozen to open not including his sock. Spoiled little turd lol!!

After opening gifts we all went to church and enjoyed a wonderful service. Everyone came over for Christmas Dinner (except for Craig he had to work.... boo!!). Dex had so much fun playing with his cousins and was quite obsessed with his new cousin Brody who was only a few weeks old. (hopefully this is a good sign lol!!). It was a long hectic day but it is always fun when everyone gets together. It was really fun to see how much Dex has changed since last year. He can actually play with his cousins now and have a good time. Quite a few of us spent the night and then we had to head back into the city on boxing day. I had to work the 26th and 27th.

On the 28th we headed to Magrath to see my family!! Apparently Dex was super excited to get there because he woke Nick and I up at 6:00am. We tried to wrestle him back down to sleep but he wasn't having it. So we left the house by 7!! This never happens lol!! It was a long trip since I had worked til 5 that morning but I survived. Anyways we got to Magrath and of course Dex needed to open his presents immediately. Everyone was so anxious.

Grandma and Grandpa Chipman spoiled him rotten like usual. They got him a car track, A monkey shirt from Mexico (that he loves lol), and lots of clothes. Auntie Ash and Uncle Matt bought him his first truck. You should have seen his face when he saw it. It was so cute!! Auntie Kinz and Uncle Chanse got him SpongeBob slippers that he never takes off of his feet!! Auntie Kass, Uncle East and Livi got him a SpongeBob chair, SpongeBob shirt, and 2 new books. It was like having 2 separate Christmas's. SO SPOILED!! but we are just as guilty of spoiling him well maybe I should say I am just as guilty lol!!

Anyways it was so nice to spend time with my family!! I love living in Edmonton but I miss my family a lot. It was nice to just hang out and relax. Nick and I love going there because we actually get a break. Dex kind of gets fought over and we love it lol!!

We went out to Ash and Matt's new place for dinner one night and it was a lot of fun!! It was the first time since we had seen them since they got engaged and we are so excited for them. Ash is literally on cloud 9 and it is so awesome to see her so happy!! We can't wait til the wedding in August.

New years eve was fun!! All the Chipman Clan and Grandma Alston came over for dinner and we played games. The men watched the hockey game and the women weren't too impressed but not surprised either lol!! It was so nice to have everyone there and we had a lot of laughs and good fun!! Dex lasted til 11:30 this year but tuckered out right before the new year.

All in all 2011 was a pretty good year. Here are some things that stand out to me that happened.

Dex turned 1!!
Got preggers with baby bennett #2!!
I went back to work (Only have 5 weeks left!!)
I got a new niece who we love to pieces (Livi)
Awesome summer vacation's with our families (Fairmont and Kallispell)
Kinzee graduated and got married in the same year lol!! (We love Uncle Chanse!!)
We lost a very special girl (Nae Nae)
Ash and Matt got engaged!!

2011 made me realize how important family really is and my main goal for 2012 is to try to not take that for granted. Life is short and bad things happen to good people but as long as we have our families and strive to do what's right everything will be okay. A few of my resolutions this year are: Less tv, Less Computer (facebook, pinterest, and just surfing..), Loose this baby weight ASAP (Ash asked me to be a bridesmaid in August so hopefully that will motivate me), Try new recipes and stop making the same things lol, Read my scriptures every day, and just spend all my time with my hubby and kids!! Bring on 2012!!

Winter....

Unfortuantely winter is here and I don't think the snow is going anywhere!! Sometimes I wonder why we choose to live in Edmonton but minus the crappy weather I really do love living here!! This winter we have discovered that Dexter loves the snow!! He would play out in it for hours if we'd let him. So it looks like on the warm days that's were we will be spending most of our time. He looks so stinking cute all bundled up in his snow gear!!

Dexter is growing up way to fast and I can definately say that he isn't a little boy anymore!! He is starting to get more and more independent and is learning new words everyday!! He has a slight addiction to spongebob and it is kind of sad that he can say his name but none of his auntie or uncles lol!! I guess spongebob visits more lol!! He never sits still and I am constantly cleaning up after him.

I am 23 weeks pregnant now and I am starting to get really nervous for baby number 2 to get here!! Sometimes I wonder what exactly we were thinking but deep down I know everything will be fine. This pregnancy seems to be flying by but I guess that probably has to do with that fact that I have no time to stop and relax. I am still working 4 -5 shifts a week and I keep saying I am going to cut down to about 3 but the extra money is to nice especially with Christmas right around the corner.

Speaking of Christmas I am super excited for it this year!! It is funny how when you become a parent holidays are so much different. I am so excited for Dex to open his gifts this year and to experience all of our fun family traditions. I really had no clue what I wanted for Christmas... Still don't but I am sure Nick will figure something out lol!

Anyways things are so great with my two boys and I couldn't be happier!! I am definately feeling so blessed right now and can't wait to meet this new little person in a few months!! If only I knew what I was having.... But I really do enjoy the surprise it was an amazing experience!! Well I am off to get my crazy 2 year old out of the toilet...

Fall

Well it's been a crazy fall so far and so many things have happened. I have so much to catch up on it isn't even funny.

Nick and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary in September so we decided to go away for the weekend. We went to Calgary for the weekend and we barely left the hotel but not for the reason that you are thinking. I basically spent the entire weekend puking it was awful but it was so nice to spend time alone with Nick. Dex went and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Chipman in Magrath and had a blast!! But he was happy to see us when the weekend was over. I have such an amazing husband and I love him so much!! The past 3 years have flown by and I feel so blessed to have him in my life. He is such a great husband and father!!

I had my 24th birthday on the 3rd of October and I feel like I turned 34!! This whole being pregnant and being a mom thing makes you feel way older than you really are. Anyways I had an awesome day!! Nick and Dex got me flowers and a gift certificate to Thyme Maternity and then took me out to Red Robin's with some of my closest friends. I always love getting together with Erin & Tyler and Jen & Josh!! And Dex had so much fun hanging out with Quinn!!

Thanksgiving weekend my dad came up to Edmonton to visit and to come pick Dex and I up. We had a great weekend. We went out to Wetaskiwin on Saturday and spent the day with Nick's family!! It is always so much fun when we all get together!! Dex loves playing with his cousins!! And his mommy and daddy love that there are other people to chase him around for awhile!! We spent sunday just hanging out and we made a roast chicken dinner. On Monday Nick went off to work and Dex and I headed down to Magrath with my dad. My mom waited for us to have Thanksgiving dinner and we had an amazing meal ready and waiting for us when we got home. It was so nice to be surrounded by so much family. I have truly been so blessed and had so many things to be grateful for!!

On the 15th of October my little sister got married and she was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen!! Her groom didn't look to bad either but I am so proud of her and love her so much!! It was such an amazing day and all the hard work of decorating paid off!! The decorations were beautiful!! I was so glad I got to spend a week at home with my family!!

On a sadder note someone very close to our family was killed in a horrible accident. My little sisters best friend Danae was killed on saturday night in a car accident. She is like a sister to us and was such a sweet and kind girl!! I hate that such horrible things have to happen to such good people. She was such a beautiful young woman and will be grately missed!! I will miss you Nae Nae and love you so much!!

Now I think I need to end this post on a positive note so I will give you a Dexter update!! Dexter is 20 months old and acts like he is 2 already!! He is so busy and definately keeps Nick and I on our toes. He loves playing with his toy trucks and blocks. He always loves to color and mommy finally caved and bought him the colorless markers because he was coloring on everything!! Also he is going through a fun stage of always taking off his clothes!! He will strip right down on pee on the floor!! It is driving me crazy so the potty training has begun!! (wish me luck...) He is so cute and it is so much fun to watch him learn new things. He is learning new words everyday and I am sure in no time will be talking my ear off. He can count to 2 now and Nick and I think it is the cutest thing ever!! Also he got to hear his baby brother or sister's heartbeat today and really has no clue what's about to happen... Let's just hope his love for babies sticks...Anyways hear are a few pics of our little man.

First thing is first I am preggers again!! Yeah..... not lol!! I think I will be a lot happier about it once the vomiting stops. But we are super excited to have baby bennett #2 on the way!!

Anyways we went to Fairmont with Nick's family for a week and we had a great time!! Dexter was always on the go but it was nice to have a pool around all the time so we could tire him out!! We spent most of our time in the water which was a nice break from the rain we had been getting in Edmonton. It was so nice to relax and visit with his family!!

We left straight from Fairmont and headed to my parents house. We went down to Kalispell and it was awesome. We camped for 3 nights and stayed in a hotel for one. It was Dex's first time camping and the first night was a little rough for him but he adjusted pretty quick. He was in heaven being outdoors 24/7. We played in the Lake all day and he had so much fun!! He was the first one in the water and the last one out. You would have thought that the water was so warm but trust me it wasn't lol!! I love spending time with my family!! All of my sisters were there and I love spending time with them. I miss them so much!! I also love being with my parents they are the best people I know and I love them so much!! We were sad East, Kass and Livi couldn't make it but I was glad we got to see them for a little bit while we were home. We left Kalispell and headed back to Magrath and spent a few days there and then headed home back to Edmonton!!

We had an awesome holiday with both familes this year and I can't wait to spend more time with both of them!! Dexter is growing up too fast and I can't believe he is going to be a big brother soon!! Which is a good thing because he is quite spoiled!!! Today was his first day of nursery and I got a little weepy lol!! I am sad but I am going to blame it on the pregnancy hormones lol!! Well I am off to bed....

Well I can't believe July is almost over it has gone by way to fast!! We have had a very busy month.

Canada Day Long Weekend we went home to southern alberta to finally meet our niece Olivia and she is beautiful!! We instantly fell inlove and wish we lived closer so we could see them all the time. We had a great weekend we went to waterton with the entire family on friday and it was a lot of fun!! Then on saturday we had Livi's baby shower and it turned out so great!! I got to make a few cute things on the cricut which I love to do!! We had a great turn out and Kass got some really cute stuff!! Then on Sunday it was Livi's Baby blessing and Easton's birthday so we had a very busy weekend but it was great to spend time with my family. I miss living near them and Dex loves being around all of them too!!

We got to bring Hallie home with us for a week and a half and it was awesome!! I might not have made it without her. I worked 12 shifts while she was here and she let me sleep in which was amazing!! We loved having her up here and while she was here Dex said her name it was pretty awesome and now she claims that she is the favorite auntie. I think the other aunties are a little jealous but I guess that just means they need to come stay with us for awhile!! Anyways I felt bad we couldn't do much while she was here because it rained the entire time. I think we had one nice day so we ran through the sprinkler.

My mom came up to get Hallie and she stayed for a few days and ofcourse I had to work everyday while she was here but I still enjoyed spending time with my mom!! I miss her so much!! She is the best woman I know and I just love her so much!! We decided to take down one of our trees in the backyard together and we did pretty good until the end... let's just say we almost riped down our cable wires running off of our garage. It is a good thing Nick got home just in time to help us lol!!

After working so many days in a row I decided to take a saturday off so Nick, Dex and I enjoyed an entire day together and it was awesome. We didn't do much in the morning just tidied up the house and let Dex take his afternoon nap. Then we went out grocery shopping and then went to the Leg. We had so much fun!! Dex ran and jumped in the water even though the water was a little chilly but it didn't phase him at all. We had a great time together and then we came home put Dex to bed and Nick and I got to snuggle on the couch and watch a movie!! It was so nice!!

Anyways this last weekend was Magrath days so we were heading home on thursday night but we got a phone call on sunday that my uncle burns had passed so we came home a day earlier. His funeral was on thursday and it was an amazing service. Everyone laughed and cried and you could just feel the spirit so strong and we knew that my uncle burns was there. We will truly miss him but feel so blessed that he isn't in pain anymore and is doing the Lord's work!! He has an amazing family and I am so glad I got so spend time with them this weekend. We had a family reunion and it is always so nice to get together with your family!! I have an amazing extended family and we always have so much fun together. Magrath days was fun like always but I must say it is way more tiring with a toddler running around. Dex had a blast!! He collected a huge bag of candy from the parade, played with all his little cousins, walked the trail with grandpa, went to the petting zoo, ran around all day, went to the softball games, was constantly given candy all day long, watched the firworks and zonked right out. It was a good weekend all in all and I can't wait to go on our holidays in August!!

So last weekend we took Dex to the calgary zoo for the first time and we had so much fun!! We met my Mom, Dad, Kinz, and Hallie in Calgary friday night and spent the night in a Hotel. And as soon as we got there Dexter was having a great time!! He could have cared less that Nick and I were around. The Hotel had a waterslide so ofcourse the first thing we did was get in the pool. Dex is such a little fish and is so brave. He would have gone down that waterslide all by himself if we'd let him.

After swimming we went back up to the room and visited til bedtime. I love my family so much!! They are my favorite people in the entire world. I have the best parents anyone could ask for. They would do anything for me and I love them so much!! And as for my sisters they are my best friends. (I love my brother too ofcourse!!) I miss them so much and jump at any opportunity to get to hang out with them. I always feel like a kid again when I am with them. We had so much fun giggling til the wee hours of the morning!!

Saturday morning Dex woke us all up bright and early so we got up and got ready to head to the zoo. We were a little worried because the forcast called for rain but it was a beautiful overcast day. We had so much fun taking Dex around to see all the different animals and it was so fun to see his reaction to everything. It was such a great day and as we were getting ready to leave it started to pour rain. So we left at the perfect time.

It was such an awesome weekend and a much needed getway for our little family!! When life gets hectic all anyone needs is their family to make everything better!! I love my family so much and can't wait to see them on Canada Day!!

So Much Has Happened

I have not blogged in forever and I promised myself I would do better but it hasn't quite happened yet. Anyways life is never a dull moment in the Bennett home. Our little boy Dexter is so busy you barely have two minutes to sit down. He has turned into quite a funny little boy. Now that he has got walking and running down he has now started to talk and it is so much fun!! He says the common words like Dad, Mom, Uh Oh, No, Ya, Up, and his favorite what is that? He says that about 50 times a day to me lol!! I love how he tried to mimic everything we are saying as well. I could go on and on about our little man.

So much has happened since the last time I blogged. My little sister Kinzee graduated from high school. I can't believe she is done!! It definately is making me feel so old.... O well what can ya do. Anyways we are so proud of her and love her very much. She has gone through a lot lately and it amazes me how strong she is. She is such an amazing woman and I can't wait to see what she does with her future but I know whatever she does she will be amazing!! Love you Kinz!!

Some more exciting news!! I am finally an auntie on the chipman side. Kass and Easton had a beautiful baby girl. Olivia Michelle Chipman and I am dying to meet her. Sometimes I hate living so far away from my family cause I miss out on things like this. O well I know I will get to meet her soon enough. She is absolutely beautiful and I have definatley had a lot of fun shopping for her lol!! Little girls just have the cutest things.

Anyways not much else is new with our little family. Nick is busy at work and is working part time again this summer for his friend Eli. He is such a hard worker and an amazing dad. I definately lucked out in the husband department. Just watching him with Dex makes me smile. I am still working a couple nights a week too and things are going great!!

Life Lately

It seems like time is going by so fast. Dexter has changed so much and has become very independent. He wants to do everything by himself and when I try to help him he screams bloody murder. I feel like the terrible 2's have hit already and he is only 14 months which scares me because I can't imagine his tantrums getting any worse... Anyways all I can say is that it is a good thing that he is so dang cute!! I love spending time with the little stinker.

I can't wait for the weather to start warming up I am so sick of the snow. After this winter we are seriously considering moving somewhere that it doesn't snow 9 months out of the year. I hate that Dex and I have been cooped up all winter. O well what can ya do.

Anyways not much is new with Nick and I. He is busy with work and spends all of his spare time with Dex and I. He is such a great husband and dad and I feel so blessed. I started a new job recently and I work at Hollister in the evenings from 10:00pm - 3:00am. All I do is fold clothes and it's really not that bad but it beats putting Dex in daycare which I refuse to do.

Other than that nothing much is new. I am looking forward to going home this weekend and spending time with my family I miss them all so much. It is never a dull moment in the Chipman house. Well I guess I should post some pics of our handsome little man because he is definately not a baby anymore or atleast that is what he thinks.

He always has to feed himself now and he starts off using a spoon but my the end uses his hands and somehow gets it all over his face and body!! So much fun!!

Dexter is One!!

I can't believe that my baby is one!! This last year has been the best year of our lives. We are so inlove with our little man and he brings so much joy into out lives. He has grown and changed so much I can't believe that he used to be this small.

He is such a happy little boy and is so full of energy. I feel like all I do is pick up after him and my house is still always a disaster. He makes us laugh everyday and it is amazing how quickly he is learning new things. Here are a few of Dexter's favorite things to do around the house.

He likes to climb from the couch into the chair. He does this all day and he is so proud of himself!!

He loves to help me load and unload the dishwasher but he loves it even more when mommy leaves the room because then he can sit on it.

Dexter loves water!! He would stay in the bath all day ang night if we let him!! He is a little fish!!

We can't keep him away from Nick's computer. He is either under the computer playing with the cords or sitting in his daddy's chair typing away on the keyboard.

He also loves to get into the fridge. He can open the door on his own now and so I will find him here all throughout the day!!

And we can't forget the fake cheesy smile he pulls every single time we take a picture of him!! I don't know where he got this one from but this is his favorite pose!!

For Dexter's 1st Birthday this year he got 3 parties!! Yes I know he is a spoiled little stinker!! He got a party with nick's family but unfortunately I don't have pictures yet. His 2nd party was on his actual birthday and he had quite a few visitors. Olivia, Mark, and Cario came over for cupcakes and it was so much fun. Here are some pics of his 1st birthday!!

This past year has been amazing and I wouldn't change a thing. I get a little teary eyed thinking about the fact that my baby is growing up but on the other hand I am so excited for the future!! He is learning new things everyday and is now walking and talking a little. I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful family!!

Dexter's 1st Halloween

It was Dexter's 1st Halloween and we had a lot of fun. Friday night we got all dressed up and went to our ward party and we took Dex Trunk or Treating. I think Nick and I enjoyed it more than he did since we ate all of his candy but he was the cutest kid there.

Life Lately!!

So I haven't blogged forever and so much has happened. We had a crazy busy summer but we had so much fun!! Magrath Days, Weddings, We went to Kalispell and we just hung out in Magrath with my family and it was so much fun!! But it is nice to finally be back home and in a schedule. Dexter is getting way to big way to fast. He is almost 8 months old and he is so much fun!! He is crawling now and is very independent already. He has to do everything on his own or he gets mad. He refuses to drink from a bottle or sippy cup, he has to have a real cup like mommy and daddy!! And he has decided that he doesn't like soothers anymore. That is a bonus for me!! He is such a good baby!! I feel so blessed most nights he sleeps from 9:00pm to 9:00am and it is amazing!! I just recently had my 23rd birthday and it was so much fun!! We celebrated it for an entire weekend and I got very spoiled. We went bowling, went out to red robin's for dinner and I got my Spongbob cake again for the 8th year in a row. My mom, dad and my sister kinzee came to celebrate with me. Also a couple of my really good friends came over to celebrate with me. Having this birthday come and go I have been thinking a lot about how grateful I am for my wonderful family and amazing friends but most of all how grateful I am for my amazing husband and for my little man, Dexter!! I absolutely love being a mom and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Dexter has Nick and I wrapped around his little finger and we love him so much!! Easter Holidays

So we went down to Magrath on the 1st of April and stayed until the 11th. It was so much fun to stay at my parents house. Dex finally got to meet all his great grandparents and the extended family. It was Dex's first Easter and ofcourse he got very spoiled. He got his own pair of sunglasses and several new outfits.

We had his shower while we were down and it was so nice. Joni and Aunt Mona threw the best baby shower I have ever been to. And ofcourse Dex was spoiled!!

We also took him swimming for the very first time. He loves the water!!

We had our annual Easter Egg Hunt that Aunt Shyreece throws for us every year. We were told that as soon as you have a child you don't get to participate anymore but Aunt Reece let us do it this one last time. Next year Dex will be walking so I guess that is when we get the boot.

Nick had to go back to Edmonton on sunday for work but Dex and I stayed and spent most of the time visiting family and friends. That is the one thing that I miss most about Magrath. I wish we lived closer so we could see them a lot more. Although I really do love living in Edmonton.

The reason we stayed for so long was because it was my best friend Brittany's wedding and I was her maid of honor. It was a beautiful ceremony and I must admit that I cried just a little bit. I still can't believe she is married but I am so happy for her. Jay is an awesome guy and they are perfect for each other.

It was such a fun day and it was so nice because I got to hang out with a lot of my good friends. Some of them being my old roomies. I absolutely love these girls and I love hanging out with them. We will be friends for life.

Nick came back for the wedding and took care of Dex while I tended to my maid of honor duties. I missed him so much. It was really the first time that we had been apart since we have been married but I survived. He is such a good husband and an amazing dad!! He loves spending time with Dex and I!!

I really enjoyed my little holiday and it was really hard to leave but I knew it was time to come home. I love spending time with my family. I have the best parents in the whole world. They would do anything for me and they absolutely love Dex!! I don't think I changed one diaper while I was home!! I had so much fun hanging out with my sisters. I miss them so much!! Hallie and Kinzee fought over Dex and would sneak off with him every chance that they got. I truly felt blessed this Easter. I was surrounded by my friends and family and I had an amazing time. I am so grateful for Nick and Dexter!! I absolutely love being a mom and I can't wait to have 4 or 5 more!!

So I guess I should start off with Dexter's Birth Story. We went down south to visit my parents for reading week and on February 15th at 3:00am in the morning my water broke. At first I just thought I wet my pants until I stood up and a HUGE gush of water went everywhere. I snuck out of the room in shock. I couldn't believe what had just happened. All I could keep thinking was ofcourse we didn't bring the car seat or my overnight bag because who has their baby 3 1/2 weeks early. Anyways I woke Nick up and I had him go and wake my parents. I guess we were being really loud and woke the girls. I couldn't stop laughing I think it was to keep from crying. As soon as I saw Kinzee I ws apologizing because my water had broke all over her bed and floor. So here we are at 3:00 in the morning driving to the lethbridge hospital. Once we got there the nurses checked me out and it was going to be awhile. They told me I could deliver my baby there but that they would have to do all my blood work again which could take quite awhile or I could get in the car and drive to Edmonton. Since we didn't have ANYTHING in Magrath we decided to get in the car and drive. Kinzee met us at the hospital and brought pillows and blankets to make me more comfortable. My mom went back to Magrath with Kinzee to pack up all there things and Nick and I's things too. My dad took us in their car and Nick and I were in the backseat. My mom, Kinzee and Hallie were about an 1 1/2 behind us in our car. My contractions were very minor just some cramping so it wasn't to bad until we hit Red Deer and then I was in HARD labor. I literally thought I was going to have my baby on the side of the road. My dad was driving pretty fast so we got pulled over by the cops. My dad jumped out of the car to tell the cop what was going on. The cop wasn't to happy about that but once he found out what was happening he escorted us to the Wetaskiwin Hospital. Once we got there the nurses checked me out and they told me it was still going to be awhile. I really wanted my doctor to deliver my baby so we decided to get back in the car again and drive to The Grey Nun's Hospital. We finally got there and I was admited. I was so happy to be out of that car. Once I was settled in to my delivery room the nurse broke the bad news to me that my Doctor was on vacation until tomorrow so the on call doctor was going to deliver my baby. I was a little bummed out but at this point I didn't care I just wanted that baby to come out. I decided to get in the shower to relieve some of the pain and I stayed in there for a really long time. At this point I had been in labor for 11 hours and I was ready for that epidural. The epidural didn't hurt at all and as soon as it kicked in I was feeling much better. Finally around 6:00pm it was time for me to push and after a LONG hour of pushing the on call doctor came in and Dex was born 5 minutes later. As soon as he was born we still couldn't tell if he was a girl or boy. He was facing down. The doctor had Nick cut the umbilical cord and then placed Dex on my chest and I was the first one to see that he was a boy. It was the most amazing experiene and Nick and I both instantly fell in love. We feel so blessed to have Dex in our lives and we love him very much. He is already 5 weeks old and the time is flying by. We both love being parents and wouldn't change a thing.

Life Changes!!!

So I haven't written in a while and so much has happened so I figured I should give an update!! Nick and I bought a house!!! And we are so excited. I promise to post pictures soon but we are still waiting to get possesion but we get it on the 9th of Decemeber so I promise to post them soon!! We have a lot of work ahead of us with doing renos on the house and getting ready for the baby to get here... And I am starting to get HUGE... The baby is growing like a weed but is right on track which makes mommy and daddy very happy. For all of you that don't know we decided to not find out what we are having. We both think it will make the experience that much more exciting so all we know is that Baby Bennett is healthy and looks very very cute from it's ultrasound pics. Life is cruising on by and we can't wait to be parents. With all the housework we have to do in the next little while the baby will be here before we know it. Anyways I promise to post pics soon of my HUGE belly and of the house!!

My 22nd Birthday!!

I finally decided that I would cave in and start a blog. Thanks to my good friend Erin I think I have finaly started to figure this thing out. Anyways today is my 22nd Birthday and I am exactly 18 weeks pregnant!! Nick and I are so thrilled that we are expecting and we are even more excited that our ultrasound is on Monday. Hopefully they will be able to tell us what we are having so I can start buying some cute stuff. All my friends keep hastling me to post belly pictures and I promise to post them very soon!! I just need to find the time to actually put myself together in order to take a nice photo. Anyways I promise to update you all soon and hopefully I will be able to announce if we are having a boy or girl!!!
